Matthew turns 9 and other end of March happenings!

Our Matthew turned 9!  He's a joy!  So much energy that we find that he needs to run 2 miles a day to help him stay focused--I sure wish I could bottle his energy and sell it!

Matthew was very proud of this tower he built of blocks that was as tall as he was.

Grateful dad could spend the day with them as a "Watch Dog"--it's always a special day!

Our LAST pinewood derby car and race!

The day after Matthew's birthday we had the most insane hail storm in Allen.  It hailed huge hailstones for about 25 minutes!  It ruined every roof in our town.  We had one friend that had their swimming pool totaled (because the hail got between the tiles around the pool and then it got down under the plaster).

We also got a new van out of the deal.  In the hours before the storm we'd come back from our final trip to dad's house where we took the washer and dryer which we'd put temporarily in our garage so we couldn't pull the van into the garage and when the hail storm hit, it did enough damage that it totaled the van too!
