Early in December, while we were setting up the Stake Nativity exhibit, I got a frantic call that Mike Herman was having a heart attack and needed a blessing ASAP at Allen Presby. Geoff Gillespie was there and he went right to the hospital. Apparently, the Herman's had been doing yardwork and Mike felt "off". Tammy and Christine were about to run errands and Mike asked them to take him to the hospital just to be safe. As they took him back to the cardiac unit, he literally had a heart attack on the table. Had he not been there in the hospital, he likely would have died. Stephen ministers to the Herman's and so later that afternoon we went by their house and finished the yard work they hadn't gotten to.
