Hello Dolly, well hello Dolly!!!!!

Just after celebrating with my Mom we hopped in the car the very next morning to head to College Station to see our darling Aunt Sarah star as Dolly in her High School Production of "Hello Dolly". Man was she a trooper!! The flu had hit that area really hard the week of the performance and nearly 1/2 the cast was not 100% including our STAR!!! But the show must go on.....so it did and she was brilliant!! She really just shined whenever she was on stage and we were so proud. Her costumes were superb---especially the outrageous hats that Susan and Sarah created costumes around....she looked magnificent.

We were really grateful to be able to have this experience for our children too, sitting through a theatrical performance is something important for them to learn (too bad the teenagers sitting directly in front of us couldn't handle our quiet whispers and efforts to teach....they'll learn someday) They constantly looked for Sarah and wondered why she wasn't on stage. They loved seeing her bright costumes and KP brought her camera and did her best interpretation of a Paparazzi by snapping pictures right and left. Here are Ashlyn, Shelly and KP waiting for the show to start. And then the kids after the show was over. Thanks Sarah for doing such a great job!!
