All about my Lindsey

This post is all about my Lindsey:

Preschool has started for this girl!  She went to meet her teacher, Mrs. Kim, dressed in pearls and a new favorite dress.

And we met a few kids in her class.  There are a lot of girls in her class, and some of them even live in our neighborhood.  We were able to arrange some carpooling too--I think it's going to be a great year!

And then after Labor Day she started school!  When did she get so big?  She only goes to school Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.  The school isn't open on Friday and we have to keep a day open for speech (which also is not done on Fridays).  It's also a longer school day for her (from 9-1:45).  She's going to have a GREAT year

With the older kids in school, sometimes kung-fu (Matthew) naps and that gives us time to do things like reading lessons and special time:

And we had an exciting adventure.  Lindsey and Matthew are great sports and let me go for runs while they ride in the jogging stroller.  The other day we were going around a bend and saw this turtle just right next to the sidewalk.  We stopped and let the kids see it.  We thought he might make a great pet so we ran home to get a box.  But after a couple hours we could tell he did not want to be a pet and wanted to be let free.  This was very sad for Lindsey and she cried a bit.  But we took this photo and then let him go in the creek and he crawled off.

Now she wants a real turtle for a pet for her birthday........
