Sam turns 8 and is baptized

Sam's 8th birthday was especially wonderful!  In our faith we baptize children at age 8, and for Sam, his baptism date fell on his ACTUAL BIRTHDAY which he thought was super cool!

We are so proud of him for his decision to be baptized, and so grateful his father was able to perform the ordinance.

Sam was baptized with 3 other boys from church, it's quite the year in our ward, there are 16 children turning 8 and getting baptized and 15 of them are BOYS.  So he was baptized along with Parker Bergeson, Luke Huang, and  Logan Rees.  We were fortunate to have our neighbors the Glasers come, along with Mrs. Kathy Keim, Sam's 1st grade teacher, the Sanchez Family (Diego) and our friends Penny and Bob Mione.  It was wonderful to have them here.  Along with our family, the McKneelys and the Lewis'.

Sam played a soccer game that day and had a great cheering section and even scored a couple goals!  Then we opened presents and had treats along with a fajita dinner to feed an army!

Part of the Birthday celebrations is having Stephen take the day off from work and spend the day with Sam (and the other kids) at school as a WATCH DOG!
