First day in DC--National Zoo and Monuments

Lions, and tigers and........

After spending a few days in the car we were ready to get out and walk.  For our first day in DC we headed to the National Zoo.

We were lucky enough to see the infamous Pandas!  This is the mom and the baby.  There was a twin but it died.

And then there's THESE animals.... Hee hee.

Then in the evening we went with my cousin and his family to go see many of the national monuments.  We saw Jefferson, Lincoln, Vietnam, Rosevelt's "New Deal", and they were all spectacular!
