May 2018--week 3

So proud of these two!  This is a shot of me dropping them off at the Dallas Texas Temple--this is Sam's FIRST time going to do baptisms.

Cans, cans, and more cans!
Our family is involved in the community Change the World weekend of service.  Stephen is in charge of coordinating food donations for the Allen Community Outreach's youth summertime food bags.  Our ward was in charge of canned soup, and canned pasta.  So our dining room was packed!  And I made many runs to Aldi to buy cans for people.

The BEST though, was a family in our ward who notoriously LOVES using Amazon.  Initially they told us they were going to "prime" us some cans, but then decided they'd prefer to actually go shopping for the cans because of the "experience" they wanted to give their family.  But then I noticed on Facebook that they were out of town the weekend of Change the World so I chidded them that they were going to have to prime me some cans anyway...and they did! LOL

On the day of Change the World, we put our kids to work soliciting donations outside of grocery stores and I was so proud of them!  They went up and approached people they didn't know and sweetly ask for donations.  They worked so hard!

"It's raining tacos!" These two stole the show and were the grand finale at the school talent show!  It was excellent!  They planned the whole dance themselves, and all the kids knew all the words and sang along and most of the adults had never heard it.  I think I'm just grateful to not have to listen to the song on "Alexa" anymore.

It's also that time of the year when it's the END of things....So here is the end of the soccer season and team celebrations...

Kaitlyn's 8th grade band concert and an award for excellence!
