Thanksgiving 2018

Because we are going to spend Christmas with Stephen's family in Boston, and because life has been hard taking care of dad, we opted for a more low key Thanksgiving this year....and we kind of LOVED it!

First of all, I leveled with the family that one of the things that makes the feast at grandma's possible is the combined efforts of multiple moms.  And the option of staying home only had one mom.  So we had to simplify the menu and only choose our very favorites.  Then we made assignments that a different person would help mom with each menu item.  Here's how that played out....

All in all, I think it was a smashing success!

Something fun was discovering this crew huddled around my laptop watching a Christmas movie--bring on the season!
